When a session of 20 words is complete you will be tested on the words you got wrong in the next session.

To practice daily set a daily target. The app includes a progress report if you miss 5 minutes one day, to make up the next day. It will test you on the same 20 unbanked words each session but when you feel more confident you can shuffle words between rounds too. It has a practice mode when you are unable to interact, it acts as an audio player, you hear words and translate them yourself before the given answer.
